Richard Norman Wunderle

Passed away Sunday, April 10, 2016, at St. Mary's of Michigan. Age 78 years. He was born January 10, 1938 in Cleveland, Ohio, the son of the late Beatrice (Klenow) and Hubert Wunderle. He graduated from Tawas High School and attended Michigan State University in Business. He married Harriet Marie Burke, February 2, 1963. She passed away October 20, 1983. Later he married Shari Weisheim, May 8, 1992. She survives him. Richard had been employed by Becker MFG, Owosso, retiring in 2000 with 12 years of service. He was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church. He was an active member of the Lion's Club in Tawas, Shields and St. Charles. He enjoyed golfing and bowling but, most of all, was actively involved in his grandchildren's sporting events. Surviving besides his wife, Shari, are a son, two daughters and their spouses, John and Holly Wunderle, Saginaw, MI; Dr. Mary Wunderle-McIntosh and Monte McIntosh, Lebanon, Oregon; Richelle and Brad Erlenbeck, Freeland, MI; two step-children, Deborah and Glenn Smale, Pickford, MI; David Lagalo, Saginaw, MI; 11 grandchildren and their spouses, Spencer and Amanda Wunderle; Jessica and R.J. Velasco; Hunter Wunderle; Conner McIntosh; Cameron McIntosh; Elizabeth McIntosh; Hayden Erlenbeck; Nolan Erlenbeck; Jeffrey and Ashleigh Pine; Jessica Pine-Huskey; Vicktoria Hurd; 12 great grandchildren; one sister and brother-in-law, Frances and Dick Fairless; two nieces. A granddaughter, April Pine, has predeceased him. The funeral liturgy will take place at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, April 16, 2016 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 1035 N. River Rd. Saginaw, MI. Rev. Peter Gaspeny will officiate with cremation to follow. Friends may call at the W. L. Case and Co. Funeral Chapel, 201 N. Miller Rd. from 1:00-8:00 p.m. Friday where Fr. Joseph Schabel will conduct a Vigil service at 6:00 p.m. Friends may also call at the Church on Saturday morning from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral liturgy. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider the Lion's Club Charities, Leader Dogs for the Blind.
