Phylis E. Porterfield

Porterfield, Phylis E. Saginaw, Michigan Beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great grandmother passed away on August 1, 2013 in Venice Florida at the age of 75 years. The daughter of the late Alfred and Lottie (Anscomb) Woods was born on August 11, 1937 in Grayling, MI. She married Donald D. Porterfield in 1956; he predeceased her in 2006. She was a former member of Redeemer Lutheran Church. Phylis loved to sew and spending time with her family and friends. Surviving are four children; Frank Duane Porterfield, Lu (David) Zedaker, Irma Marie Porterfield and her friend, Daniel, Donna Jean (Jeff) Sivak, nine grandchildren; four-great grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren, a sister Virginia (Tom) Weaver, three brothers Roy (Dorothy) Woods, Marvin (Betty) Woods, Cecil(Joyce) Woods, Elmer (Inga) Woods, and a sister-in-law Connie Woods and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a baby boy in 1963, a daughter Sherry Lynn Yarmouth in 1980, and her brothers George and Aubrey Woods. Funeral Service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 9, 2013 at W. L. Case and Company Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Road. Burial will take place at Eastlawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at the funeral chapel on Thursday from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 6:00-8:00 p.m. and on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
