Patrick Richard Phoenix

Patrick was called home to heaven on November 23, 2018 at the age of 85. He was born on March 17, 1933 to the late Leo & Ethel (Youmans) Phoenix. He was preceded in death by his sisters. Angela Wolohan, Kay Leacher & Leola Murphy. Surviving is his wife Marian (Baszler) Phoenix; whom he married on November 7, 1953. They recently celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary. Patrick & Marian have 3 daughters; Sheree (Joe) Thieme, Dianne (Adam) Frigo and Lynn (Dave) Hallman. In addition, Patrick was blessed with 7 grandchildren & 7 great grandchildren. For many years Patrick worked with his father on the family farm. He then went to work for the Saginaw County Road Commission at age 32 and retired after 27 years. Patrick enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping. He was a member of Faith Lutheran Church and in accordance with Patricks wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial service for friends and family will be held on Saturday, December 1, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. at Faith Lutheran Church, Bridgeport. Friends may visit with the family prior to the memorial service at Faith, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Immediately following the service, Pastor William Hessler will officiate the burial at the Pine Grove Cemetery in Bridgeport. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to Faith Lutheran Church, Bridgeport or St. Judes Children Hospital.
