August 18, 1916 — March 30, 2019

Patricia M. Murphy

Beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend passed away on Saturday, March 30, 2019 at the age of 102. The daughter of the late Odric and Charlotte (Delaney) LeClair was born on August 18, 1916 in Two Harbors, MN. After graduating from college, Patricia moved to Michigan where she worked as a laboratory technician. She married Thomas "Tim" Murphy on August 18, 1943; he predeceased her on June 20, 1987. Patricia was an active member of St. John XXIII Parish, serving as Eucharistic Minister, reader, and choir member. She was also on the board of the Mary C. Rauchholz Memorial Library, a member of the Altar Society and the League of Women Voters. Patricia enjoyed reading, quilting, painting, traveling, gardening and swimming, even waterskiing for the first time at the age of 75. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family, was cherished for her Christmas cookies and her great sense of humor. Patricia loved any color, "as long as its red". She will be greatly missed. Surviving are her children: Peg (Michael) Supernault, Jim Murphy, Mary (Dan) Dymek, Karen (Ken) Keskitalo, grandchildren: Skye (Chad) Sutkowi, Jon (Melissa) Supernault, Amy (Kevin) ONeill, Gabe Graham, Chris Keskitalo, Zachery (Ashleigh) Graham, Brandon (Nicole) Keskitalo, 13 great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Besides her parents and husband, Patricia was predeceased by her son, Dick Murphy, daughter Jean Pfahlert, and her grandson Matthew Schwind. Funeral liturgy will take place at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 3, 2019 at St. John XXIII Parish, St. Mary Catholic Church in Hemlock. Fr. Dennis J. Kucharczyk will officiate with burial at St. Andrew Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family at the church on Tuesday from 2:00-7:00 p.m. Those wishing to pray the rosary will gather at 3:00 p.m. A vigil service will take place at 6:00 p.m. There will be an additional visitation at church on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral liturgy. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider the Mary C. Rauchholz Memorial Library or St. John XXIII Parish.
