Mildred A. Blumke

Mildred A. Blumke Hemlock, Michigan Passed away Monday, January 27, 2014, at Covenant- Cooper. Age 93 years. The daughter of the late George and Rhoda (Carlson) Beck was born in Sibley, Illinois. She married Martin (Jack) Blumke, December 18, 1937. He passed away October 31, 1989. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Hemlock, MI. Mildred sold Avon products for over 60 years. She enjoyed gardening and bird watching. Surviving are a brother and sister and their spouses, Richard and Patricia Beck; Donna and Richard Gofton, all of Hemlock; her nieces, nephews and their spouses, James and Jean Michael, William and Karen Michael and Linda and Bob Larsen; Debby Michael; Diane and Paul Schroeder; Christopher and Lynda Beck; Joanne Thorington; Kathy and Darren Forbes; Cindy and Greg Velez; Mike and Cindy Gofton; Danny Gofton; David Gofton; Rick and Monica Gofton; Shari and Hector Geddes; Carol Lamb; Janice and Lynn Coty; Ron and Cory Weber, Paul and Karen Wolfgram; Myrna Pruitt and John Pruitt; many great nieces and great nephews; a sister-in-law, Marge Pruitt. Three sisters and a brother, Annie Stenzel, Alvin Pruitt, Frances Michael and Phyllis Weber have predeceased. The funeral liturgy will take place at 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 31, 2014, at St. Mary Catholic Church, 151 St. Mary Dr. Hemlock. Rev. Duane Wachowiak will officiate with burial in Richland Twp. Cemetery. Friends may call at the W. L. Case and Co. Funeral Chapel, 201 N. Miller Rd. from 2:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday where a vigil service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Friends may then call at the Church from 10:00 a.m. Friday until the time of the funeral liturgy.
