Michael John Schultz Saginaw, Michigan Passed away Wednesday, March 8, 2017, at Covenant-Cooper. Age 70 years. The son of the late Herman and Margaret (Tolfree) Schultz was born February 15, 1947 in Saginaw, Michigan. He married Jamie S. McMall, October 21, 1972. She survives him. Michael was a graduate of Reese High School and served in Korea with the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was a member of V.F.W. Post #1859 and served on their Honor Guard. He was employed by General Motors, Plant 2, retiring in 1999 with 32 years of service. He served with the Carrollton Volunteer Fire Department. He was of the Lutheran Faith and a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles #4413 and the Loyal Order of the Moose #82. Surviving besides his wife, Jamie, are two daughters, Melissa Schultz and Amy Schultz; five grandchildren, Angelica Mireles Schultz; Andrea Mireles Schultz; Marlie Guerra Schultz; Christiana Guerra Schultz; Preston Guerra Schultz; numerous step-grandchildren; one brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Diane Schultz; several nieces, nephews and other relatives. The funeral service will take place at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 11, 2017, at the W. L. Case and Co. Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Rd. Rev. Julie Bailey will officiate with Military burial in Eastlawn Memorial Gardens under the auspices of V.F. W. Post #1859. Friends may call at the Chapel from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Friday.
