Maxine Maguire

Maguire, Maxine (Towne) Saginaw, MI Passed away Wednesday, December 23, 2015 at the age of 98 years. Maxine was born in Grand Rapids, MI February 15, 1917 the daughter of the late Ford and Cleo Alta (Conklin) McVeigh. She married Gordon Towne November 25, 1937. He predeceased her August 7, 1975. She married Ivan Maguire November 20, 1983 and he predeceased her January 19, 2013. Maxine enjoyed winters in Florida, painting, knitting, visits from family and friends, reading books, baking and playing cards. Maxine is survived by two children Richard Towne and Darlene (Mac) McKellar; seven grandchildren, Pamela Roestel, Steven Towne, Mitchel Towne, Debbie Tomsich, Tracey Gould, Pat McKellar and Lynn Marie Jones; and many great-grandchildren. In addition to her two husbands, Maxine was predeceased by her daughter-in-law, Marlene Towne and a sister, Hulda Schneider. The funeral service will take place 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 29, 2015 at W. L. Case & Company, 4480 Mackinaw Rd. Her grandson, Steven Towne will officiate with burial to follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may visit with the family at the chapel Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. until time of the service.
