Beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great great grandmother passed away peacefully, December 24, 2020 at her home. Age 96 years.
The daughter of the late Ella (Bailey) and Harley Struble was born March 24, 1924 in South Haven, Michigan. She graduated from Saginaw High School, Class of 1940. She married Henry Joseph VanHerweg, June 19, 1943; he passed away August 19, 2000. Maurine retired from Saginaw General Hospital after 40 years of service. She was a member of the Saginaw General Alumni and the Saginaw Garden Club. Her passion was reading.
Surviving are her children and their spouses, James and Barbara VanHerweg; Robert and Susan VanHerweg; Judy VanHerweg; Daniel and Sheri VanHerweg; seven grandchildren, Chad and Melissa VanHerweg; Robert A. and Mindy VanHerweg; Zachery and Brooke VanHerweg; Daniel Stanuszek, Michael Stanuszek, Kristy and Keith Bookman; Tyler VanHerweg; eleven great grandchildren, Katie, Emily, Sidney, Conner, Mathew, Connar, Logan, Lincoln, Katelyn, Sophia and Hugo; one great great grandchild, Kinsley; a sister and brother-in-law, Sybil Jane and Ray Brennan; many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Besides her husband and parents, she was predeceased by two grandchildren, Carrie VanHerweg and Amy Stanuszek, two brothers, Howard and Bruce Struble.
