Mary Therese Scheffler

Mary Therese Scheffler Saginaw, Michigan Passed away peacefully, Thursday, September 28, 2017, at Covenant-Cooper. Age 79 years. The daughter of the late George and Theresa Gerl was born, July 31, 1938, in Toledo, Ohio. She married Dale Scheffler. Her husband of 58 years survives her. She was a member of St. Frances de Sales, St. Christopher Site. She enjoyed fishing and most of all, spending time with her family. Surviving besides her husband, Dale, are a daughter, Gayle Scheffler Turner; three sons and their wives, Mark and Tracy Scheffler; David Scheffler; Matthew and Amber Scheffler; four grandchildren; three great grandchildren; her sister and brother-in-law, Rosemary and Richard Goodrow; several nieces and nephews; her beloved dog, Polly. She was predeceased by her parents and two brothers, Walter and Tony Berger. The funeral service will take place at Noon Wednesday, October 4, 2017, at St. Francis de Sales Parish, St. Christopher Site, 3945 Williamson Rd. Saginaw, Michigan. Rev. John Mancini O.S.F.S. will officiate with burial in Eastlawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at the Church from 10:00 a.m. Wednesday until the time of the funeral service.
