Marilyn Joann Salak

Passed away Sunday, April 14, 2019, at HealthSource, Saginaw. Age 87 years. The daughter of the late Hazel V. (Houghton) Heins and Melvin E. Sager was born March 13, 1932 in Saginaw. She married Steve Salak March 4, 1954. He passed away February 16, 1979. She was a member of Ames United Methodist Church, enjoyed reading, but most of all spending time with her family. Surviving are two daughters, one son and his wife, Thomas and Barb Salak; Kathy Salak; Cindy Salak; two grandchildren, Steven Salak; Brandon and Serenity Salak; two great grandchildren, Nadia and Christian; a sister, a brother and their spouses, Thomas and Charlotte Heins; Sharon and Robert Hardt; several nieces and nephews. The funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 17, 2019, at Ames United Methodist Church, 803 State St. Saginaw. Rev. Doug Mater will officiate with burial in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at the W. L. Case and Co. Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Rd. from 1:00-3:00 and 5:00-7:00 p.m. Tuesday and then on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service.
