Marie B. Weiskirch

Our loving mother and grandmother went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 4, 2021. Age 92 years.

Marie was born on July 27, 1928, daughter of the late Fred and Emma (Beyer) Rausch, in Saginaw. She married Bernard J. Weiskirch on May 8, 1948. He predeceased her on May 8, 2007. Marie was a faithful member of St. Peter Lutheran Church and taught Sunday School. She had worked at Hemlock Elementary School for several years and loved caring for children. Marie enjoyed gardening, playing cards, board games, taking bus trips, crafting, crocheting, quilting, attending bazaars and spending time with her family.

Surviving are her children, Barbara (Nicholas) Rehmann, Gerald Weiskirch, James (Sue) Weiskirch and Deborah Weiskirch; daughter-in-law, Beth Weiskirch; six grandchildren, Cynthia, Greg, Kevin, Angela, Robert and Brooke; eight great grandchildren, Meg, Gabe, Kali, Lea, Kelsie, Sara, Katelyn and Adalyn; sister, Dorothy Bradt; sister-in-law, Betty Weiskirch; many nieces, nephews and her special friend, Tricia Bass. Marie was predeceased by her son, David Weiskirch, grandson, Tristan Guest, sisters, Hattie Mohr, Helen McGuer and Irene Rausch, brothers-in-law, Donald Weiskirch, James Bradt and Melvin Mohr.

Funeral service will take place at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, July 9, 2021 at St. Peter Lutheran Church, 2461 N. Raucholz Road, Hemlock. Rev. Dr. William Morris and Rev. Richard E. Mundt will officiate with burial in Richland Lutheran Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service.
