Maria Van Mastrigt

Maria Van Mastrigt Saginaw, Michigan passed away Sunday October 22, 2017 at Shields Comfort Care. Age 96 years. She was born in The Netherlands on September 17,1921. Marie was married to Jacob Van Mastrigt in 1946. He predeceased her in 2012. Together they immigrated to the U.S. in 1956. Marie was meticulous in keeping their home neat and clean. She sent her children to school with clean and pressed clothes. On Mondays she would routinely line up the family's shoes, in assembly line fashion, to clean and apply a fresh coat of polish. She was a member of Community Christian Reformed Church. Surviving are four children and their spouses, Case and Nancy Van Mastrigt; Leo and Maria Van Mastrigt; Ledy and Norm Beebe; Leny and Lowell Tenpas; nine grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband Jacob, she was predeceased by her parents Cornelis and Leentje Stolk and by two sisters. The funeral service will take place at 11:00 am Saturday, October 28, 2017, at Community Christian Reformed Church 6045 Mackinaw Rd. Rev. Nathan Gritter will officiate with entombment at Oakwood Mausoleum. Friends may call at the church from 10:00 am Saturday until the time of the funeral service.
