Margaret Vasquez

Vasquez, Margaret Saginaw, Michigan Beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, sister and aunt, was called to her heavenly home on Saturday, August 10, 2013. While Margaret hated to leave her loving family here, she now joins those who have gone before her. Margarita Cobarrubias was born August 1, 1929, in San Antonio, Texas, the daughter of the late Madgdaleno and Elivera (Cabera) Cobarrubias. She had been employed by Saginaw Furniture Company and later by Luther Manor. She was a devout Christian, and a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. She also enjoyed attending Living Faith Family Ministries with her daughter, Elvera. Margaret enjoyed bowling and going to garage sales. She was a great cook and homemaker. Surviving are four daughters, two sons and their spouses, Antonia and Rudy Delgado, Lila and Raymond Torres, Olga Vasquez, Elvera and Roy Gallardo, all of Saginaw; Jose Vasquez Jr., San Antonio, Texas; Francisco and Genevieve Vasquez, Saginaw; 27 grandchildren; 60 great-grandchildren; 17 great-great-grandchildren; her brother, Raul and his wife Eloise Cobarrubias, San Antonio, Texas; many nieces, nephews, and their families. She was predeceased by a daughter, Yolanda Capchino; one granddaughter, Annette Capchino; two sisters and two brothers, Olga Zavala, Olivia Perez, Rudolfo Cobarrubias, and Juanito Cobarrubia and a very special devoted friend, Loius Jimenez Sr. Funeral Liturgy will take place at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 14, 2013, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 545 Maple Ridge, Carrollton. Rev. Fr. James Bessert will officiate with burial in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Her family will receive friends at the W. L. Case & Company Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Road, from 2:00 9:00 p.m. Tuesday, where a parish prayer service will take place at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday. Family and friends may then meet at the church on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider her family. www.casefuneralhome.com
