Beloved father, grandfather, and great-grandfather passed away on Sunday, October 11, 2020, at Ascension St. Mary’s Hospital. He was 96 years old. Malcolm Albert Morey was born on July 16, 1924, in Bay City, Michigan, to the late Arthur W. and Louise (Robinson) Morey. He married Sylvia N. Williams on November 10, 1945; she preceded him in death on June 14, 2014. Malcolm was employed with Saginaw Township Public Schools for over 35 years. He and his wife enjoyed working out in their yard. Malcolm will forever be remembered his hard work ethic, his kindness, and for providing a loving home to his family.
Surviving are two daughters: Sandra (James) Knights of Saginaw; Barbara Doan and her boyfriend, Keith Lanning of Saginaw; foster-son, Fred (Christina) Schnell of South Lyon; three grandchildren: Carol (Marq) LaValee, Deanna Knights, and Michael Knights; three great-grandchildren: David LaValee, Devon Knights, and Jamal White; and two great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Gary Morey; and a great-grandson, Kevin LaValee.
A private funeral service was held at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 15, 2020, at the W. L. Case & Company Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Road. Rev. Fr. Steve Gavit officiated with burial at Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
