Lyn Strye (Ratliff)

Lyn Strye (Linda Kay Ratliff), 70, went home to be with her Heavenly Father on Friday, April 27, 2018. Mother, daughter, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, friend, writer, singer and musician. Lyn was born to the late Stella Wanda Johnson and Herbert Boyce Ratliff on April 3, 1948, in Saginaw, Michigan. She attended Arthur Hill High School and Delta College. Lyn worked as an Activities Director at several area nursing homes. Lyns family was her greatest source of pride and accomplishment. She is survived by her children, Donald Wilson II (Tammy), Birch Run; Paije Alfano (Sam), Saginaw; Jade Wilson, Mecosta; Shilo Zoromski, Lehigh Acres, FL; Ronald Strye II, Cape Coral, FL; her grandchildren, Donnie, Kyle, Anjela, Greg, Stevi, Jenna, Lucas, Daniel II, Maggie, ShyAnne, Kalei, Abigail and Miranda; great-granddaughters, Ahdriana and Aliyah. She also leaves three sisters and one brother, Jo Ann Thomas, Herbert Ratliff, Judy Hill (Larry) and Beverly Merrithew; several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her sister, Pamela Moore, and by two brothers-in-law, Donald Thomas and Robert Merrithew. Her sass and sense of humor will light up the skies. Although she will be missed, her spirit is alive and free. Funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 1, 2018, at the W. L. Case and Company Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Road, where her family will receive friends from 9:00 a.m. Tuesday until the time of service.
