Leona B. Cofield

Passed away February 23, 2018 in Mesa Arizona during a brief hospitalization. Age 89 years. Leona loved traveling, taking many interesting cruises, reading, and shopping. She was born in Saginaw, Michigan to the late Theodore and Martha Ford, and resided there for the majority of her life. She was a graduate of Saginaw High School and retired from employment with the State of Michigan. Leona maintained friendships with many of her co-workers and will be missed by all who knew her. Leona is survived by her husband, Ronald Jones of Saginaw, Michigan and children, David (Charlotte) Cofield, San Diego, California; Gregory (Yolaundia) Cofield; Kimberly Cofield, all of Memphis, Tennessee and Steven Cofield of Sherman Oaks, California; her brother Ralph (Lynette) Ford of Houston, Texas; 3 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. A memorial celebration of her life will be held from Noon- 1:30 p.m. Friday, June 15, 2018 with at time of sharing at 1:00 p.m. for those who wish to share a memory at the W. L. Case and Co. Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Rd. Saginaw. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider the American Kidney Foundation.
