Loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend passed away unexpectedly on Friday, October 13, 2017 after a brief battle with cancer at the age of 68 years. The son of the late Frederick Ross and Kathleen (Rigg) Brandt was born on December 27, 1948 in Saginaw. He married Anna Haske on October 23, 1994; she survives him. Ken retired from Saginaw Steering Gear in 2007 after 30 years of service. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, and riding his Harley. Surviving besides his wife, Anna are his children: Greg Brandt, Kathryn (Joseph) Lintz, Jacob Brandt, Rachel Lynn, two adopted sons: Greg Gath, Mark Danks, 11 grandchildren: Alexis, Alyssa, Savannah, Emily, Andrew, Tyler, Arianna, Delvon, Harmoney, HaLea, Isaiah, two great-grandchildren, Eryn, Maddox, his sisters: Josie Mosqueda, Marie Basner, and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Besides his parents, Ken was predeceased by his son, Zachary Brandt, two brothers: Bill and Derrick Brandt, his daughter-in-law Dana Brandt, and brother-in-law Carlos Mosqueda. Funeral service will take place at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, October 19, 2017 at the W. L. Case and Company Funeral Chapel, 5700 Dixie Highway. Pastor Jeanne M. Lapine will officiate. Friends may visit with the family at the funeral chapel from 5:00-9:00 p.m. Wednesday and on Thursday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
