Kaye Ann Lent

Kaye Ann Lent (June 12, 1953-July 30, 2018) Saginaw, MI If you want to know the woman with the biggest heart, a champion with the most incredible sense of humor, and the international queen of rallying, then may we introduce you to Kaye Ann Lent. She was always doing fine. She gave you a generous smile no matter how she felt. Her well-timed humor was her gift to you, just when you needed it, every single day of her life. Kaye enjoyed crocheting, her nights out supporting Hemlock Public Schools staff and athletes, sitting at the Lake House watching people float by and her family splash with good life, and hosting holiday gatherings in her home. Togetherness was her thing. Her legacy. She was the first born "wild child" of Beverly Jean (1932-1987) and Robert Louis Stevens (1928-1970, her senior year of high school), and she now follows them both to Heaven. They would be so proud of her. For five decades James Allen "Mr. Jim" Lent has been by her side. Theirs was a true love story. They were married in 1973 and celebrated 45 anniversaries. Kaye and Jim took care of one another. They kept each other in strength and laughs. They will forever define the word couple. Kaye was profoundly proud of her daughter Shawn Renee Lent. Childbirth was traumatically difficult with Craniosynostosis and she persevered in order to create a most wonderful life of possibilities for her child, whom she witnessed grow to age 40. Kaye is deeply loved and will be missed by her siblings: Constance "Connie" Bordeau, Sharon (David) Bell, Jay (Anita) Stevens and Robert "Robbie" (Marilu Resendez) Stevens. Her motherly love extended to her several nieces and nephews, best friends and neighbors, Bev and Bob Lumsden, Godchildren, son-in-law, sisters-in-law, mother-in-law, and her aunts and uncles including her beloved Uncle Tom whom she joined on Long Lake, MI when she and Jim made their lifelong dream of owning a lake cabin a reality. She worked at Hi-Tech Optical in Saginaw for 39.75 years (she never lied and said it was 40 years), volunteered to do thousands of hours of paperwork for the Hemlock Hurricanes girls basketball traveling teams and countless other teams for four decades, and she served as a positive dance mom at Bohatys School of Dance for 18 years. Gosh, what a force of love. Memorial service will take place at 3:00 p.m. Friday, August 3, 2018, at W.L. Case & Company 201 N. Miller Rd. Rev. Susan Hand will officiate. Friends may visit with the family from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, Kaye would want you to spend time with your family and donate to someone who needs your support. P.S. She never swore. But she did say, "F@#k Cancer!" But cancer will never have the final word.
