Kathleen R. Sovia

Sovia, Kathleen R. Saginaw, Michigan Passed away on Thursday, October 24, 2013 at home at the age of 87 years. The daughter of the late William and Sylvia (Blackburn) Sargeson was born on January 30, 1926 in Bay City. She married Frank Sovia on November 2, 1946; he survives her. Kathleen worked at Marge's Beauty Salon and retired in 1986 after 20 years of service. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church. Kathleen enjoyed dancing. Surviving besides her husband of 66 years, Frank are their children: Frank (Diane) Sovia, Jr., Lori (Mark) Hoffman, Jan Sovia, a brother, William (Shirley) Sargeson and seven grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild and her faithful dog, Dolly. She was predeceased by a sister Alice (Jim) Porter. Funeral Liturgy will take place at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 30, 2013 Holy Family Catholic Church, 1525 S. Washington. Rev. David Jenuwine will officiate with private entombment at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Friends may visit on Wednesday at church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. www.casefuneralhome.com
