Katharyn M. Morley

Katharyn M. Morley Saginaw, Michigan Passed away Saturday, February 1, 2020, at Bryon Center Manor. Age 88 years. The daughter of the late Katharyn (Sackett) and Howell VanGorden was born February 19, 1931 in Albion, Michigan. She married George B. Morley, June 25, 1955. He passed away April 28, 1988. Katharyn was a graduate of Albion High School, Albion College and received her Masters degree from S.V.S.U. She taught in the Saginaw Public Schools, retiring with 30 years of service. She was a member of First Congregational Church. She was an active community member, participating in the Junior League of Saginaw, PTA at Fuerbringer School, Womens National Home Farm and Garden Club, Master Gardener Club, Germania Club, a Cub Scout Den Mother, Card Club, Morley Foundation, Bridget Fuller Womens Circle and the Alpha Delta Kappa Sorority. She volunteered with the Muscular Dystrophy Assoc. and the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. She enjoyed spending her summers at Lakeside and traveling the world. Surviving are four children and their spouses, Karen Morley Ebright; George (Scott) Morley Jr. and wife, Cindy; Jon (Marianne) Morley and Jill (Norm) Nickles; nine grandchildren, Christopher, Robert, Eric, Shannon, Trisha, Jonathan, Elizabeth, Amanda and Katie; nine great grandchildren, R.J, Emme, Karly, Owen, Logan, Joslyn, Deanna, Alahna, Zane, Cheyanne and one on the way; her sister, Mary Sue (Dick) Davis; several nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by two sisters, one brother and a son-in-law. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Friday, February 7, 2020, at the W. L. Case and Co. Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Rd. Major Wayne Ruston will officiate. Friends may visit with family from 1:00 p.m. Friday until the time of the memorial service.
