Karen Ann Newcomb

Karen Ann Newcomb Bridgeport, Michigan Beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother passed away peacefully on Friday, December 20, 2019, at her home with her family at her side; at the age of 77 years. The daughter of the late Don and Hazel Higgins was born on October 12, 1942 in Saginaw, Michigan. Karen graduated from Saginaw High School with the Class of 1960. She worked many years of service as a waitress at Holiday Inn. Karen was a member with the Eagles Club for over 20 years, often going out with her family and friends for a great time together. She was always active and keeping busy. Karen enjoyed gardening her flowers, taking care of her dogs, playing on her Grand Piano and teaching her grandchildren how to play as well. Surviving are one daughter, Tracy Lake of Montrose, Michigan; four granddaughters, Trisha, Kayla, Windy, Bobbie Sue; many great-grandchildren; two sisters and one brother, Gloria Terrian, Victoria Kinney, Neil Katzenburger. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews and extended family. Karen is preceded in death by her husband, Peter Newcomb; one daughter, Amy Howard; one grandson, Jerry Howard; and one sister, Marilynn McKimmy. Honoring Karens wishes, cremation has taken place. Due to predicted inclement weather, services have been cancelled.
