Denno, June C. Saginaw, Michigan Passed away Thursday, April 9, 2015, at the Cartwright Hospice Residence, at the age of 90 years. June Oakes was born March 18, 1925, in Saginaw, the daughter of the late Roy and Eva (Prior) Oakes. She graduated from St. Charles High School. She had been a member of Faith Ev. Lutheran Church. June enjoyed quilting, ice cream cones on the pontoon, and Red Wings Hockey. She married Lawrence E. "Larry" Denno on October 12, 1946; he predeceased her April 15, 1994. Surviving are two daughters and one son, Laurie Denno and her husband, Larry Wheeler, Westford, Massachusetts; JoAnne Timko, Saginaw; Terry Denno and his wife, Ann, Saginaw; her grandchildren, Casey, Jamey (Kristin), Mark, Jeffrey, and Alison; one great-grandaughter, Stella; one sister, Donna Schultz, Saginaw; several nieces, nephews and their families. Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a grandson, Cameron Denno, one sister, Lillian Courtright, and one brother, Robert Oakes. Funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 13, 2015, at the W. L. Case & Company Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Road, where her family will receive friends from 4:00 7:00 p.m. Sunday, and then on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Rev. Michael Hahn will officiate with burial in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
