June B. Chapman

Chapman, June Saginaw, Michigan Passed away Wednesday April 1, 2015 at Meadow View Manor at the age of 94 years. June was born November 6, 1920 in Saginaw, Michigan the daughter of the late William and Louisa (Hawkins) Steckert. She married Kenneth W. Chapman Sr. March 6, 1943. He predeceased her January 3, 1994. June and Kenneth (Red) worked in Traverse City at the beginning of their marriage, and eventually settled permanently in Saginaw. She was a former member of the Germania Club. She was an avid card player, bowler and she loved to travel. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Saginaw. June spent the last six years of her life at the Manors where she took part in many of their activities. Surviving is a son, Kenneth W. Chapman Jr. and his wife Audrey of Anchorage, Alaska; a grandson, Jason Chapman and his wife, Jennifer and their son, Alex; one brother, Bob Steckert and his wife, Sharon and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Bill Steckert and a sister, Marian Rummel. A memorial service will take place 1:00 p.m. Saturday at the W.L. Case and Company Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Rd. Rev. Ted McCulloch will officiate. Friends may call at the chapel on Saturday from 11:00 until the time of the memorial service.
