Joyce Kay Yurcso

Beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away with her family by her side, on Thursday, November 22, 2018 at Covenant HealthCare-Harrison. She was 76 years old. Joyce K Lehner was born on January 8, 1942 in Saginaw, Michigan to the late Michael Lehner and Pearl M. Turner. She was a proud graduate of Arthur Hill High School. Following graduation, she married Samuel P. Yurcso on October 21,1961; he preceded her in death on June 10, 2008. Joyce was a faithful member of Freeland Assembly of God and enjoyed spending time with her church friends. She also enjoyed knitting and sewing. Surviving are two daughters and a son, Shelley Birnbaum of Shepherd, Steven Yursco and Sheryl (James) Nicklyn of Hemlock; five grandchildren, Kay Birnbaum, Amy Birnbaum, Sonny Birnbaum, Gary Truskoski, Jr., and Samantha Castagnier; and three great-grandchildren, Annabelle, Maddox and Brantly. She was preceded in death by a son-in-law, James Birnbaum. Honoring Joyces wishes cremation has taken place and no services are planned. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to the Yurcso Family c/o Sheryl Nicklyn.
