John Funnell

John L. Funnell Port Charlotte, Florida Formerly of Saginaw Passed away Thursday, December 22, 2016, at Fawcett Memorial Hospital, Port Charlotte, FL at the age of 94 years. The son of the late Henry and Leila (Richmond) Funnell was born February 10, 1922 in Rosebush, Michigan. He married Gladys M. Butts, October 4, 1947. She passed away June 19, 1994. He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Second and Federal Sts. He served with the U.S. Army during WWII. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge. Surviving are a sister-in-law, Mabel Kotenko; ten nieces and nephews, Pam Nethers, Vicky Dodge, William Kotenko, Jane Kotenko, Don Butts, Sally Zahnow, Barb Varner, Margaret Thomas, Joellen Griese, Patricia Buys. A brother, Wellington Funnell has predeceased him. The funeral service will take place at 1:00 p.m. Friday, December 30, 2016 at the W. L. Case and Co. Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Rd. Rev. Rev. Julie Bailey will officiate with burial in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at the chapel from 11:00 a.m. Friday until the time of the funeral service. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider St. John Lutheran Church, Second and Federal Sts.
