John Edward Conklin

John Edward Conklin Saginaw, Michigan Passed away Saturday, June 1, 2019, at Pine River Healthcare, Alma. Age 91 years. The son of the late Ella (Burnard) and Edward Conklin was born in Falls City, Washington, on February 23, 1928, coming to Michigan in 1947. He married Wanda Bubel, September 4, 1948. His wife of 70 years survives him. He was employed by Pepsi Cola, retiring with 20 years of service. He was a member of Calvary Community Church. He enjoyed bowling and deer hunting. Surviving besides his wife, Wanda, are five children and their spouses, Sandra and Bob Bierlein; John E. Conklin Jr; Wade and Christine Conklin; Ann and Edwin Hall; Diane and Donald Miller Jr; twenty grandchildren; twenty-seven great grandchildren with one on the way; three nieces and a nephew. He was predeceased by a great grandson, four brothers and two sisters. The funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 4, 2019 at Calvary Community Church, 2895 E. Moore Rd. Bridgeport. Rev. Ted Doolittle will officiate with burial in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at the W. L. Case and Co. Funeral Directors, 5700 Dixie Hwy from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Monday and then at the Church from 10:00 a.m. Tuesday until the time of the funeral service.
