JoAnne (Koepplinger) McMillen

McMillen (Koepplinger), JoAnne 12/15/1928-7/9/2018 Cottonwood Shores, Texas JoAnne (Koepplinger) McMillen passed away on Monday, July 9, 2018 in Texas at the age of 89 years. The daughter of the late Louis C. Koepplinger and Winnifred Mortimer Koepplinger, was born on December 15, 1928 in Saginaw, Michigan. JoAnne graduated from Arthur Hill High, received her nursing certificate from Bay City School of Nursing and Masters Degree from University of Dallas in Texas. Her varied career experiences included a practicing Pediatric Nurse in Saginaw area hospitals, the Executive Director of the Dallas County Crisis Center, Vice-President of Nurse Auditors, and finally as the Municipal Judge of Cottonwood Shores, TX, from which she finally retired. JoAnne had many interests including travelling the world, vacationing in Hawaii, scuba diving, roller-skate dancing and enjoying time with her family and friends. JoAnne Koepplinger Austin married Donald Duane McMillen on March 25, 2006. She is survived by her daughter Deanna Austin, son Doug (Liz) Austin, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, sisters Meri Testori (Richard) and Sherry Levi (Jan), as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Don McMillen in 2017, her husband of 38 years, David Austin, daughter Barbara "Bobbi" Crampton LaGrow, grandson Douglas Troy LaGrow, her parents, birth father Lawrence O. McLean, sister Betty Lou Moldenhauer and brother Pat M. Koepplinger. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 21, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at the W. L. Case & Company Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Rd. The family will greet friends at the funeral chapel on Saturday from 12:00 pm until the time of the service.
