Jo Jean L. Ray

Beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend passed away on December 4, 2021 at the age of 81 years.

The daughter of the late Robert Vanderburg and late Marcelyn (LaFleur) Vanderburg was born on December 4, 1940 in Saginaw, Michigan. She graduated from St. Andrew High School, the class of 1958. She retired from St. Mary’s Hospital after 30 years of service. She enjoyed her home, summer and spending time with family and friends around the pool. She loved camping, spending time at the beach and any moments with her great grandchildren.

Surviving are her children, Mark (Ruth) Ray, Laurie (Mark) Ray-Magnus, Shari (Richard) Wasney; grandchildren, Lauren Wasney and Taylor (Marcos) Perez; great-grandchildren; Marcelyn Wasney and Sage Perez; sister, Carol (Gene) Hummel and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her brothers, Eugene Vanderburg and Donald Vanderburg.

Funeral service will take place at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 7, 2021, at W. L. Case and Company, 201 N. Miller Road. Mark Magnus will officiate with burial in St. Andrew Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
