Jesse Ortega

Ortega, Jesse Saginaw, MI Passed away Wednesday, January 9, 2013, at St. Mary's of Michigan at the age of 71 years. Jesse was born March 19, 1941, in Saginaw to the late Crescencio and Juanita (Trevino) Ortega. He married Maria Nava May 17, 1969, she survives him. He retired from General Motors where he was a member of UAW Local 455. He loved fishing, music, sports, and playing his conga drums in church. Besides his wife he is survived by his children, Anthony Reyes, Sandra Reyes, Robert Ortega; 4 grandchildren; siblings, Rev. Leonor Luna, Joe Trevino, Martin Ortega; many nieces, nephews, and loving in-laws and family members. He was predeceased by his sons, Benito and Joey Ortega. The family would like to thank the CCU nursing staff at St. Mary's of Michigan for the wonderful care they provided to Jesse. Funeral services will take place at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 12, 2013, at First Assembly of God 4570 Mackinaw Rd. Rev. Fred Smolchuck Jr. will officiate with cremation to follow.
