Passed away Thursday, January 13, 2022, at Avista Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Age 84 years.
The daughter of the late Eva (Howard) and Henry Heckathorn was born August 1, 1937 in Saginaw, Michigan. She graduated from Arthur Hill High School, Class of 1956. She married Dale Dean Thayer, September 20, 1959. He passed away March 2, 2015. Jeanne was employed by Zehnder’s of Frankenmuth retiring with 20 years of service. She enjoyed reading, particularly Romance novels, taking care of her yard and her cats.
Surviving are two sons and a daughter, Dean and Cindy Thayer; Cheryl Cicalo; James Thayer; four grandchildren, Andrea and Luke Kalkman; Cortney and Christy Thayer; five great grandchildren, Bentley, Layla, Nona, Brooklyn and Joseph; several nieces and nephews. Two sisters, Viola Middleton and Norma Ulmer have predeceased her.
The funeral service will take place at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 18, 2022 at the W. L. Case and Co. Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Rd. Pastor Steven Windle will officiate with cremation to follow.
