Jean K. Ratti

Jean K. Ratti of Saginaw, Michigan Beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother passed away on Friday, September 20, 2019, at Ascension St. Marys Hospital. She was 94 years old. Jean Katherine Toronjo was born on November 7, 1924, in Saginaw, Michigan, to the late Roy and Katherine (Brooks) Toronjo. She was a proud graduate of Saginaw High School and also attended Delta College and SVSU. Jean held various jobs over the years, but what she was really passionate about was working with animals. She loved working with the horses at the Saginaw Race Track. She was an avid reader and with her wit and intelligence she often worked on cryptograms. Jean also enjoyed working in both her flower and vegetable gardens, as well as watching her birds. Above all, she loved and cherished her beloved pets and family. She will forever be remembered for her unwavering will, her spunkiness, and for her kind and caring spirit. Surviving are a two sons and two daughters: John Gould of Chesaning; Michael (Shawn) Gould of Saginaw; Barbara Green of Bridgeport; Mary (Thomas) Walker of Saginaw; a special granddaughter, Wendy C. Fisher of Saginaw; nine grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; a special nephew, William Roy Toronjo, III, of Bridgeport; a daughter-in-law, Cindy Gould of Columbia, AL. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends. She was preceded in death by a son, Timothy Gould; brother, William Roy Toronjo, II. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 25, 2019, at Forest Lawn Cemetery, 3210 S. Washington Ave. Saginaw, Michigan, 48601. Rev. Donald Dinninger will officiate.
