Janice E. Lemmer

Lemmer, Janice E. Saginaw, Michigan Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt, passed away Friday, April 8, 2016, at St. Mary's of Michigan at the age of 79 years. Janice Eve Gosen was born June 1, 1936, in Saginaw, the daughter of the late Fred and Helen (Fay) Gosen. She graduated from Saginaw High School with the Class of 1954. She married Charles R. Lemmer on June 30, 1956; he survives her. Janice had been employed as an interior designer with Denno Furniture for many years and also co-owned Primrose Gifts in Freeland with her daughter, Darci. She was a member of the Lutheran faith. She was an avid sportswoman, and loved golfing, bowling, bike riding, ice skating, playing volleyball and softball. She also enjoyed gardening. Surviving are her husband of nearly 60 years, Charles; two daughters, two sons and their spouses, Darci and Bill Chambers, Auburn; Greg and Helen Lemmer, San Mateo, CA; Brian and Mary Lemmer, Breckenridge; Anne' and Douglas Hughes, Hemlock; nine grandchildren and their spouses, Brandon Schrader; Brecka and Cable Johnson; Melissa Chambers and Martin Gibbons; Chastity Hopkins; Joshua and Kim Lemmer; Jillian and Andy Fazakerley; Nathan Hopkins; Emily Hughes; Riley Hughes; eight great-grandchildren; one brother and his wife, William and Mary Gosen, Saginaw; several nieces, nephews and their families. She was predeceased by a sister, Bonnie Smith. Funeral service will take place at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 13, 2016, at the W. L. Case & Company Funeral Chapel, 201 N. Miller Road, where her family will receive friends from 4 :00 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday and then on Wednesday from 2:00 p.m. until the time of service. Rev. Duane Harris will officiate.
