Weigl, James Michael Freeland, Michigan Passed away Thursday, February 19 , 2015 at his home with his family by his side, age 66 years. Jim was born in Saginaw, Michigan July 19, 1948 the son of the late Matthew and Jane (Thomas) Weigl. He married Gloria Wheeler September 2, 1967 and she survives him. Jim worked for Malleable Iron for 30 years. He also worked for Thomas Township DPW for many years. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, boating, bowling and playing Texas hold'em. In addition to his wife, Gloria, Jim is survived by three children, Todd (Lisa) Weigl, Kimberly (David) Bright and Shannon (Joshua) Spyker; eight grandchildren, Zachery Snow, Madison Weigl, Taylor Weigl, Travis Bright, Kassie Spyker, Jacob Bright, Austin Chaltraw and Mackenzie Weigl; five siblings, Pat (Charles) Taylor, Dan (Joanie) Weigl, Carol (Ed) Peplinski, Kathy Schultz, Rick (Kim) Weigl and Judy Weigl; a sister-in-law, Lynda Weigl. He was predeceased by a brother, Matthew "Buddy" Weigl. According to his wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will take place at 4:00 p.m. Saturday, February 21, 2015 at W. L. Case & Company, 4480 Mackinaw Rd. Sr. Elaine Raymond will officiate. Friends may visit with the family at the chapel on Saturday from12 noon until the time of the service.
