James H. Belill

James H. Belill Saginaw, Michigan Passed away Thursday, February 28, 2019, at his home. Age 73 years. Jim was born January 14, 1946, in Saginaw, the son of the late William J. and Leona Praay. He served in the U. S. Navy during the Vietnam War on the USS Higbee. He retired from General Motors in 2000 with 32 years of service. Jim was an avid Detroit Tiger fan and the University of Michigan Fan. Surviving are his longtime companion, Colleen Berry; five children, Christine (Mike) Szirovecz; Dale Belill; Stephanie Belill; Abbey Smith; Adam (Heather) Sadehvandi; he was Papa to 9 grandchildren, Ryan, Alaina, Hunter, Amber, Samantha, Teaghun, Michael, Aiden and Rowan; 3 great grandchildren, Lailah, Zion and Brooklyn; one brother, two sisters, Jerry, Linda and Arlene; several nieces and nephews. Jim was predeceased by several siblings and friends. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday March 7, 2019 at REACH Community Church 3111 Barnard Rd. Saginaw, MI 48603. Rev. Rob Troutman will officiate. Family and friends may call at the church on Thursday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the memorial service.
