Age 78, passed away Monday, November 23, 2020, at St. Mary’s Hospital. He was the husband of Janice K. Goold. They shared 58 years of marriage. He was born May 18th, 1942, in Saginaw, Michigan, the son of Gladys (Draves) and George Fitch. He attended Delta College, served in the U.S. Air Force, and was employed as a Tool Grinder. James was a member of the Bridgeport Community Church. He enjoyed traveling up north to 'The Property', fishing, tinkering and fixing things in his pole barn. He is remembered as kind, caring, fun, and strong-willed. He was versatile and could fix anything, like the Swiss Army knife he carried with him.
James is survived by his wife, Janice; daughters, Brenda (Jeff) Keifer and Amy (Stan) Heyse; grandchildren, Ian (Emily) Keifer, Kaitlin (Kasey) Sullivan, Amanda (Chad) Heyse, Zachary Heyse, Jared (Jessica) Keifer, Emma Heyse; great-grandchildren, Logan, Korben, and Madeline; siblings, Barbara (LaVerne) Kennedy, Mary Lou Reid; Jerry (Rose) Fitch; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Bob Fitch; sister-in-law, Nancy Fitch; and brother-in-law, Chuck Reid.
