Irene Broughton St. Charles, Michigan Our loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother passed away on Tuesday, April 24, 2018 at Covenant Cooper at the age of 95 years. Irene was born on September 9, 1922, daughter of the late Jacob and Amelia (Lampel) Seibel, in Saginaw. Irene married Lee Broughton September 21, 1940. He predeceased her on September 14, 2005. She loved to cook and bake for gatherings with family and neighborhood friends. Irene will be remembered for being a strong, hard working and loving woman. Surviving are her children Jan Izzo, Saginaw, Carol Broughton, St. Charles, Jack Broughton (Jane Burr), St. Charles, Barb (Vern) Snelenberger, St. Charles; her grandchildren, Anna (Doug) Goka, Jeff Broughton, Rod (Stephanie) Izzo, Alicia Snelenberger, David Snelenberger (Tabitha Dittmar); great-grandchildren, Tyler and Kelsey Broughton, Jacob Smith, Carmen and Veronica Izzo, Maurey and Madelyn Goka, Andreja, Logan, Imre and Ezmae Snelenberger; brother, Albert Seibel (Nancy Hendrickson); also many nieces, nephews, other special relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her sister and brother-in-law, Beatrice and Paul Bolf; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Gladys and Joseph Heit, Marie and Ray Huskey and Doris Seibel; her niece, Sharon Deming and daughter-in-law, Karen Broughton. Funeral Service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, April 30, 2018 at Trinity Baptist Church, 7090 Graham Road, St. Charles. Pastor Dave Bolliat will officiate with burial in Garfield Cemetery, Swan Creek Township. Friends may visit with the family on Sunday from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. at W. L. Case and Company, 201 N. Miller Road and on Monday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider Trinity Baptist Church, St. Charles.
