Passed away Saturday, June 30, 2018, at Covenant-Cooper. Age 82 years. The son of the late Gertrude (Bradley) and John Sullivan was born December 2, 1935 in Saginaw, Michigan. He married Barbara Ann Sawatzke, May 4, 1957. His wife of 61 years survives him. Herbert served in the U.S. Army. He was employed by Michigan Bell Telephone, retiring with 35 years of service. He was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus #8808 where he had served as Grand Knight. He enjoyed singing and sang in several choirs, Barber Shop Quartets, The Sound Men and Italian Singers. Surviving besides his wife, are two sons, Michael Sullivan and his wife, Kim; Matthew Sullivan; a sister, Jacqui Storrs; several nieces and nephews. A sister, Pat Foulks, has predeceased him. In accordance with Herberts wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 13, 2018 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 1035 N. River Rd. Saginaw. Rev. Peter Gaspeny will officiate. Friends may visit with the family from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the memorial mass.
