Helen Ann Smith

Smith, Helen Ann Saginaw, Michigan Passed away Monday, January 6, 2014 at age 98. Helen was born on a Monday, March 29th, 1915 to Ernest and Ellen ( Horan) De Frain in Detroit Michigan. She married Joseph R. Smith on June 27th, 1936. Together they had two sons, Thomas J. Smith ( Emilie ) of Americus Ga. (Both deceased ) and Michael R. Smith ( Margaret P ) of Saginaw. She was predeceased by her husband Joseph on February 24th, 1969 and three sisters (Bernadette, Virginia and Dorothy) She had nine grandchildren, one of whom is deceased, sixteen great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren, along with many remaining nieces and nephews. Helen enjoyed traveling and visited Ireland. She enjoyed cooking and visiting with her friends and being an active member in the Family. She was a Member of St. Mary's Catholic Church Auxiliary and assisted in serving and working at the Funeral Mass dinners. She attended St. Anthony's and St. Christopher Catholic Church.
