Harold Duane Mainprize

Harold Duane Mainprize Bridgeport, Michigan Our beloved father, son, brother, and uncle went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 13, 2017, with his family by his side at the age of 88. Harold was born May 21, 1929, in Saginaw to the late Harry and Lena (Osmun) Mainprize. He served in the U.S. Army. He enjoyed gardening, woodworking, cooking, and visiting with his neighbors. He loved spending time with his children. He was a generous man and would never let anyone go hungry. He is survived by his children, Margaret, Evelyn, and Steve Mainprize; close friends Richard Schmiegel and Ruth Patrzik; sister, Beatrice Parks, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his siblings, Charles, Jack, Vern, Louis, Betty, and Mariann. Funeral services will take place at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 19, 2017, at W.L. Case & Company 4480 Mackinaw Rd. Rev. Bill Bodnar will officiate with cremation to follow. Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday at the funeral home from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and again on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Habitat for Humanity or to Teen Challenge.
