Hadia Baz Katter

Katter, Hadia Baz Saginaw, Michigan Beloved sister and aunt. Passed away on Friday, September 6, 2013 at the age of 87 years. The daughter of the late Kattar and Wasilla (Tajildeen) Baz was born on February 17, 1926 in Beirut, Lebanon. She moved to the United States in 1953. She married Nafe Katter in 1971; he predeceased her in 1994. She was a lifetime member of American Druze Society and many other various organizations and clubs in town. Hadia enjoyed crocheting, traveling, spending time with her family and friends and cooking great meals for all to enjoy. Surviving are her brother Riad (Amal) Baz, sisters Nadia Baz, Najla (Kamal)Baz, numerous nieces and nephews including special nieces and nephew in Michigan; Rwaida (Roy) Baz Bates, Rania Baz, Rima (Wissam) Baz Tarabieh, Kattar Baz and many great-nieces and nephews, her step-children; Elnora Hamady and Nafe Katter, Jr. and many other dear family members. She was predeceased by two sisters and a brother and two step-children. Funeral service will take place 12:00 noon Wednesday, September 11, 2013 at W. L. Case and Company, 4480 Mackinaw Rd. Sheikh David Jauheri will officiate with entombment at Oakwood Mausoleum. Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday, September 10, 2013 at the funeral chapel from 3:00-8:00 p.m. and on Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service.
