Berg, Gordon D. Saginaw, MI Loving husband, father, and grandfather went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 13, 2014, at the age of 73. Gordon was born February 18, 1940, in Saginaw to the late John and Julia (Krause) Berg. He married Jacqueline "Jackie" Rathbun on June 18, 1960; she survives him. He worked for 37 years at General Motors, Saginaw Transmission Plant. He loved his dogs, collecting antique fishing lures, fishing, hunting, playing computer games, and watching college sports. He attended Hopevale Church. Besides his wife Jackie he is survived by his children, Timothy Berg, Robin (Nancy) Berg, Jeffrey Berg, Thomas Berg, Jennifer (Mike) Martinez; grandchildren, Josh, Christina, Micheal, Tyler, T.J., Nicole, Casey, Jamie, and Mike Jr.; great-grandchildren, Alexis and Aubrey; very dear friend, Burke Halldorson; and many other dear family members and friends. He was predeceased by his daughter, Wendy Berg-Rager; grandson, Nicholas Berg; and his sister, Laurie Ann Graham. Funeral services will take place at 1:00 p.m. Monday, February 17, 2014, at W.L. Case & Company 4480 Mackinaw Rd. His close brother-in-law Pastor Jim Rathbun will officiate with burial to follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may visit with the family at the funeral home on Sunday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and again on Monday from 12:00 noon until the time of service.
