Gloria M. Neymeiyer

Neymeiyer, Gloria M. Auburn, Michigan Beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt, passed away Friday, January 31, 2014, at Huron Woods, Kawkawlin. Age 87 years. Gloria Margaret Leszczynski was born December 1, 1926, in Bay City, Michigan, the daughter of the late Robert G. and Gladys (Boucier) Leszczynski. She graduated from Bay City Central High School with the Class of 1944. She received her Bachelor degree from Central Michigan University and later her Master of Education degree from Saginaw Valley State University. She taught in the Shields and Swan Valley School Systems for over 30 years, teaching at Liskow, Havens and Shields Elementary Schools. She enjoyed music, dance and art. She also enjoyed time boating and traveling. She married Jack A. Neymeiyer on September 2, 1950 at St. Boniface Church in Bay City; he predeceased her on December 19, 1986. Surviving are three sons, one daughter and their spouses, John and Barb Neymeiyer, Essexville; Robert M. Neymeiyer, Auburn; Mark and Charmaine Neymeiyer, Bay City; Theresa and David Folsom, Seattle, WA; twelve grandchildren, Liz, J.J., Tony, Jack, Molly, Devri (Andrew), Abbi (Matt), Brad (Shandrea), Brennen, Katie, Samantha and Leah; five great-grandchildren; one brother, Peter Leeds (Leszczynski), Colorado; several nieces, nephews, and their families; also a special friend, Bob Miller, Sanford. She was predeceased by a sister-in-law, Dixie Leeds. Funeral service will take place 3:00 p.m. Sunday, February 2, 2014, at the W. L. Case & Company Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Road, where her family will receive friends from 12:00 noon Sunday until the time of service. Rev. Fr. Robert DeLand will officiate. Private entombment will take place later at Oakwood Mausoleum.
