Gloria M. Gonzalez

Gloria M. Gonzalez Saginaw, Michigan Our loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 17, 2018. Age 72 years. She was born on May 30, 1945, daughter of the late Consuelo (Guerrero) and John Quiroz, in Saginaw. Gloria married Elias "Lee" Gonzalez on June 1, 1979. He survives her. She was a member of the Catholic faith. For 28 years Gloria served as the Secretary of the Saginaw Special Needs Bowling League, sponsored by the Knights of Columbus. She served on the Board of Trustees for the M.G. Millett Learning Center. Gloria volunteered countless hours for the M.G. Millett Learning Center. She enjoyed flower gardening, collecting angels and elephants, being a "domestic goddess", spending time with her family and visiting her brother and sister-in-law in Charlotte. Gloria will be missed by her husband Lee; children, Michael John Molina, David B. (Sylvia) Gonzalez, Daniel B. (Yolanda) Gonzalez, Adam B. (Carmen) Gonzalez and Anthony B. (Naomi) Gonzalez; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; her brother, John (Lori) Quiroz; niece and nephew, John Jr. and Gabrielle Quiroz; her special friends, Judy and Edward Alvarez, Larry and Shirley Shrock and the parents and kids of the Saginaw Special Needs Bowling League. She was predeceased by her brother, Richard Quiroz. Funeral Liturgy will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 20, 2018 at St. John XXIII Parish, Sacred Heart Church, 419 S. Midland Road, Merrill. Fr. Dennis Kucharczyk will officiate with burial in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family on Thursday from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. with a prayer vigil at 7:00 p.m. at W. L. Case and Company, 4480 Mackinaw Road and on Friday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider Michigan Special Olympics.
