George Winfield Coulson

George W. Coulson Saginaw, Michigan Passed away Monday, March 7, 2016. Age 98 years. The son of the late Theresa Margaret (Verhalen) and Edgar Coulson was born June 7, 1917 in New Richmond, Wisconsin. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII, retiring from the Army Reserve with the rank of Captain. His wife Ada Marie passed away in 2004. George was employed by Allied Van Lines and Texas Refinery. He was a member of The First Church of Christ Scientist. He enjoyed traveling, playing golf and had also resided in Arizona and the Lansing areas. George was predeceased by his wife, Ada Marie, three children, Jonathan, Laura and Mark; three sisters and a brother, Emmeline Toft, Dolores Soderberg; Anita Balliett and Raymond Coulson, and a niece, Jackie Balliett. He is survived by nine nieces and nephews and their spouses, Larry and Gail Toft; Judith Newash; Richard Toft; David and Joan Soderberg; Dr. Dale and Bonnie Soderberg; Dr. Dennis and Jane Soderberg; Linda and Benjamin Lightfoot; Sally and Rick Northrop and Fred and Lana Balliett; his sister-in-law, Lois Coulson; many great nieces and great nephews. In accordance with Mr. Coulson's wishes, cremation has taken place. A private family memorial service will be held.
