Gail Suzanne Eichbauer

Gail Suzanne Eichbauer Merrill, Michigan This December 13th, 2017 Gail Suzanne (Balicki) Eichbauer passed away after a long battle with illness. She is predeceased by her husband of 43 years, Dale Eichbauer. She is survived by her three sons Phil and wife Christina, Chris and wife Katie and Matt Eichbauer. She will also be missed by her four wonderful grandchildren Samantha, Emma, Alex and Julia, for whom she loved very much. She is survived by her mother Rita Balicki and sister Gloria and husband Gary Piotrowski. She is predeceased by her father Arnold Balicki and her grandparents Edward and Helen (Kmieciak) Balicki and William and Clara (Cichon) Luzynski. Gail was born October 16th, 1949 in Detroit, Michigan. She graduated high school in 1967 from Rosary High in Detroit, Michigan. A few short years later she met the love of her life, Dale, who she wed on her 21st birthday in 1970. Gail and her husband first lived on Detroits east side with their first and second sons. Shortly thereafter, they decided to pursue a new adventure in life and bought a 70 acre farm in southern Midland County. It was here that Gail and her husband welcomed their third son and raised the three boys to adulthood. She was known to garden and raise many different farm animals throughout the years. She also worked several years at the McDonalds in Freeland, MI and the Farm Bureau Insurance Agency in Midland, MI. She was an avid reader, played cards with her friends and spent as much time as possible with family. Gail never hesitated to honor her commitment as a wife, parent and grandparent. She would go out of her way to provide the love and care that we all knew filled her with joy. Gail was known among both family and friends for being a tremendously kind woman who was selfless and always thinking about those she loved. It is comforting to know that Gail left us peacefully with her family by her side. She will be sorely missed by all. A Luncheon and memorial service will be held at the Mt. Haley Township Hall, 3012 S. Homer Rd. Merrill, Michigan on Saturday, December 30, 2017 from Noon until 3:00 p.m.To honor the life of Gail it is requested that donations be made in her name to the American Diabetes Association, American Heart Association or The Humane Society.
