Passed away on January 2, 2020. Frances Marie Franckowiak was born to the late Joseph Franckowiak and Cecilia Boshaw Franckowiak Miller on March 10, 1927. She married Roy J. Chaltraw on October 27, 1945; he predeceased her on April 27, 2000. Frances was an avid bowler and fisher. She enjoyed crafts and playing the piano. Frances is survived by her four children, Ron (Dolores) Chaltraw, Karen Sayan, Rose Rheaume, and Karol Martinez; 51 grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family. She is predeceased by a daughter, Diane Birchmiere; a granddaughter, Juli Atwell; a great-grandson, Ricardo Torrez III; and a sister, Edna Weiss. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 7, 2020 at the W. L. Case & Company Funeral Chapel, 5700 Dixie Highway, Saginaw. Rev. Fred Smith will officiate with burial to follow at Eastlawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
