Frances Marie Benton

Benton, Frances Marie Saginaw, Michigan Passed away on Monday, March 21, 2016 at the age of 95 years. The daughter of the late Sylvester and Veronica (Bukus) Chasnis was born on June 13, 1920 in Saginaw. She married Ralph C. Benton on July 17, 1943; he predeceased her on May 13, 1983. She was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Parish, and made over 233, 000 rosaries in her lifetime. Frances also enjoyed sewing and spending time with her family. Surviving are her children: Barbara Ann Priest, Gilford Benton, Chester Benton, Ralph Benton, Kenneth Benton, her sister Ann Lake and many grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends. She was predeceased by her daughter Mary Jane Morford and several siblings. Funeral liturgy will take place at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, March 31, 2016 at the St. Francis of Assisi Parish, St. Anthony of Padua Campus, 3680 S. Washington Rd. Fr. Thomas Schmied will officiate with burial at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Tuesday and Wednesday at the W. L.
