Florence M. Bow

Florence M. Bow of Saginaw, Michigan Beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, July 30, 2019, at Covenant HealthCare - Cooper. She was 94 years old. Florence M. Hecht was born on July 9, 1925, in Bay City, Michigan, to the late Simon and Elsie (Hachtel) Hecht. She married the love of her life, Roy L. Bow on November 18, 1944, at Trinity Lutheran Church (Monitor) in Bay City; he preceded her in death after 45 years on May 17, 1990. Florence was employed as a nurses aide at Saginaw Osteopathic Hospital for 17 years; retiring in 1982. She was a faithful member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. Florence will fondly be remembered for her strong will, but mostly for the love she had for her entire family. Surviving are a son, Jerry (Joyce) Bow of Hemlock; a daughter-in-law, Brenda L. Bow of Bay City; two grandchildren: Justin (Jodie) Bow of Freeland; Jessica (Josh) Stewart of Freeland; three great-grandchildren: Jaden Bow, Jase and Jordan Stewart. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends. She was preceded in death by a son, Ronald R. Bow; three brothers and three sisters. A funeral service will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, August 5, 2019, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 5335 Brockway Road. Rev. Paul Biber will officiate. Private burial will take place at Floral Gardens Cemetery in Bay City. Friends are welcome to visit with the family at the church on Monday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church.
