Evelyn J. LaFrance

LaFrance, Evelyn J. Merrill, MI Loving mother, grandmother, and sister passed away on Friday, March 20, 2015 at the age of 87 years. The daughter of the late Glenn and Persus (Burwash) Rigg was born on May 28, 1927 in Saginaw. She married Louis D. LaFrance II, on August 16, 1956 in Angola, IN; he predeceased her on November 1, 2014. She retired from Saginaw Steering Gear in 1982. She enjoyed traveling, listening to country music, camping, going to the casino, playing Euchre and BINGO and most especially loved her pets and spending time with her family and friends. Surviving are her children: Donna Jean Darnell, Louis D. (JoAnn) LaFrance III, Geraldine Martin, Linda (Ray) Holbrook, Sandra Gutierrez, 19 grandchildren, 45 great-grandchildren, 5 great-great grandchildren, her sister Barbara (Elmer) Willman and many nieces, nephews and dear friends. She was predeceased by two daughters: Marilyn St. Denis, Cathie Perry, and her brother Ralph Rigg. Funeral service will take place at 4:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 24, 2015 at the W. L. Case and Company Funeral Chapel, Merrill. Rev. Robert Richards will officiate. Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday at the funeral chapel from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service.
