Kackmeister, Evelyn E. AuGres, Michigan Loving mother, grandmother and great-grandma passed away October 22, 2014 at the age of 93 years. Evelyn was born on June 16, 1921 in Saginaw, MI the daughter of the late Eugene and Sarah (Diehl) Bromfield. She graduated from Arthur Hill High School. She married the love of her life, Walter R. Kackmeister on August 12, 1939; he predeceased her in November 1981. Together they raised a son Gary W. Kackmeister and a daughter Gail Ann Surdock. Evelyn was a life member of the Eastern Star Martha Washington Chapter, member of King Daughters Saginaw, AuGres Garden Club, and a member of AuGres United Methodist Church. Surviving are her son Gary (Sharon) Kackmeister, a daughter Gail Ann Surdock, grandchildren: Teresa (Mike) DeBeau, Matt (Sue) Kackmeister, Shauna (Scott) Clark, Mike (Marcia) Kackmeister, William W. (fianc Chloe) Surdock, and10 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a granddaughter Angela and son-in-law William J. Surdock, Jr. Mom, thank you for always being there for us. We love you! Funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 28, 2014 at the W. L. Case and Company Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Rd. Rev. Robert Richards will officiate with burial at Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may visit with the family on Monday at the funeral chapel from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service.
